My name is Jennifer Pelletier. I graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a bachelor of education degree in December of 2018.
I am a mother of three children, aged 20, 8, and 6. I have a background in working with people with developmental disabilities, as well as accounting and bookkeeping. Several years ago I decided my real passion was education, so I chose to further my own education and pursue my BSc./BEd. at the University of Lethbridge. I completed my final practicum in grade 1 at Father Leonard Van Tighem School and spent the remainder of the 2018/2019 school year substitute teaching within the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division, primarily at FLVT. I taught grade 6 at FLVT from October 2019 to April 2021 and was hired as the numeracy support teacher from April-June 2021. Blessings are everywhere, and I am thankful to have received yet another contract teaching grade 1 this year!
I love teaching in a Catholic school. The ability to share and grow my faith alongside your children is a gift that is not offered outside a Catholic School Division. I grew up in the United Church and chose to be baptized as an adult. As my adulthood progressed (my nice way of saying as I got older...) my faith journey took me in many different directions. At this point in my journey I have been supported by friends, family, and colleagues as I have completed RCIA and am awaiting my Confirmation into the Catholic Church. I am blessed beyond measure.
I have a keen interest in all things creative, and enjoy crocheting, sewing, and the occasional paint night. I ran a crochet club for students in grades 4-6 2 years ago, which unfortunately won't be able to happen again this school year. I hope to foster the joy of creativity in these amazing young people in different ways.
